We’re starting with “How to write a Contact Us page” because “Contact Us” is the easiest page to write content for and it’ll help you understand how the fill in the blanks guide works. There are two types of information to consider on your contact us page.

Your info…

  • Your contact details.
  • And the customers request for information.

First we’ll deal with your contact details.

  • You’ll probably want to include…
  • Your street address:
  • Phone Number:
  • Mobile Number:
  • Email Address:
  • Opening times: E.G. 9 to 5 Monday to Friday.
    (Or times you can be contacted.)
  • How soon will you respond?
    If you contact us Monday to Thursday, we’ll get back to you within 24 hours.

Their info: the customer’s request for information.

What type of information does your customer need to give you?

Remember, for an initial contact, only ask for information you absolutely must have.

Asking for too much information will put some customers off contacting you. But if you only ask for a phone number or email address you’ll get people contacting you who are unlikely to become customers. Ideally you want to encourage people to contact you but only if they need your services and are willing to pay your prices.
